Not exactly hiking here, but I don't ride a horse to the trailheads. Driving south on CR-371 alongside the Arkansas River just outside of Buena Vista, CO. September 2007.

Yeah, great shot. I like photo's from the point of view from inside a car.
Wow, it looks like if that river ever overflowed and flooded the road would be severely washed out!

That's the Arkansas River Gledwood not too far from it's headwaters so it does look like a creek. It's also late in the year so not much snow melt to keep it going. It gets much bigger as it heads east
