At the Grays Peak trailhead looking south up the valley towards McClellan Mountain. Grays and Torreys Peak are out of view to the right. July 1999.

Very nice. Beautiful.

What is that little pathway or hiking trail on the right? Where does it go/lead to and from?

The nice part of the path is only at the beginning. The trail leads to the summit of Grays Peak. A number of other peaks are also accessible from the Grays Peak trail which includes Torreys Peak, Edwards, and Kelso to name a few. Grays Peak and Torreys Peak are fourteeners. The other nearby peaks are thirteeners. The next photo will show the view back down the trail from the summit of Grays Peak. It is a great hike and not technically challenging. Just a nice walk up. Well that is if you can ignore the altitude.

Never see any pikas down low. They seem to want to be above treeline.
