Looking down on the saddle between Shavano and the 13,611 ft. sub-peak to the south from near the summit of Shavano. This was as far as I would make it after having climbed too high too fast without enough time to acclimate to the altitude. I reluctantly descended to leave the summit for another day. September 2007.
