Shades of gray pierced by shafts of sunlight. Mount Meeker is visible through the rain clouds while Longs Peak is somewhat obscured. Photo taken from the Twin Sisters trail in Rocky Mountain National Park. September 2007.
The camera brought out details that I was unable to see with the naked eye. I must have stood at that spot for 30 minutes snapping photos as the scene changed constantly as the clouds advanced and swirled and then retreated only to repeat the process. Digital cameras are great for just snapping away. I only wish I had a better camera and knew how to use it. It's still fun to snap shots and see how they turn out later. It's unfortunate that on so many hikes I didn't take pictures. I have vowed to do better and this was one attempt.

That looks like a Chinese scroll painting
